And if we delve deeper into the cause of their nature, we will find that their boredom or cluelessness emerges from a very limited context of life. This could be because their past lives were one-dimensional and didnât challenge them enough to seek new avenues or redefine their life. It is also possible that in their past lives, these souls were so consumed with honouring their fixed set of material or worldly duties that they were unable to expand their mental horizon or embrace a more elevated and creative context of life. Another possibility is that they have undergone several lifetimes in which they were restricted to just the mundane material activities. Like doing a routine job and not seeking anything beyond it due to material compulsions or fear. Or being in a business that was passed on to them as an inheritance. It is also likely that some of these souls had a very confined life as they had to take care of family duties, traditions, legacy, etc. Perhaps, they were exposed to only the material side of lifeâduties, responsibilities, liabilities, and pressures of keeping things going. And so, they remained unexposed to the creative, mystical, spiritual, adventurous, and enjoyable aspects of life. It is likely that these souls didnât get a chance to understand what they were capable of doing or explore something other than what was mandated by society or their immediate environment. For example, in certain families, the children are expected to continue what their forefathers did and denied a chance to explore and understand their own individual dreams and potential. Another example could be when women are expected to look after their families and live in a routine that tramples their own hidden potential. And if one constantly attaches greater importance to other peopleâs needs and ignores their own, a sense of dullness, cluelessness, and boredom is bound to prevail, which is the real problem with lost souls. They are habitually indisposed to change. Additionally, their lack of exposure to a multi-layered and multi-dimensional existence in the past has made them lose a deeper connection with the self. Due to this, theyâve remained completely detached from the grander prospects or the sweeter and subtler flow of life, which is essential to nourish oneâs spirit and open the mind to various possibilities and interests.
With a limited filter to see the world, these souls, in their past, became so consumed in their fixed material chase that they lost a wider interest in life. Their blinkered approach prevented them from tapping into a larger part of their potential and reduced most of their creative and imaginative faculties. This, in turn, may have contributed to the loss of their inner liveliness. After all, a one-dimensional existence can be all-exhausting and offers nothing that rejuvenates and inspires the spirit, which mostly seeks the opposite and flourishes in the more multi-dimensional, creative, and challenging aspects of life.
